How one bride combined her two favorite dresses for dreamy Wrightsville beach nuptials

When Jamie came into Lana Addison Bridal looking for a unique, fitted gown we knew she would love some of our Enaura styles! Enaura is a renowned gown designer known for featuring delicate, distinct, hand-beading on each and every one of their marvelously unique gowns.

Jamie just so happened to be in our salon during an Enaura trunk show, which meant all of Enaura’s newest designs were visiting our store for a brief period of time, including the Beau a-line gown and Misty fitted gown. Jamie fell in love with almost everything about Beau, but couldn’t stop thinking about Misty’s silhouette. Our owner, Alexia, let Jamie know about the possibility to create the Beau gown just for her combined with the skirt silhouette of the Misty gown.

Once learning about the possibility to create a gown specifically for her from our designer, Jamie immediately started crying with tears of excitement and knew she was in her wedding dress. This was what she would wear to marry the love of her life, Edward.

Edward and Jamie have a classic, modern romance. They met on Bumble, had a four-hour long first date at a brewery and after years of being together, one late night while Jamie was working from home, Edward put on a tux, dropped his knee and asked Jamie to marry him. Jamie recalls, “I was so surprised and so very happy!! We proceeded to celebrate with pizza and champagne and it was the best night of my life!” We’d guess that her beautiful Wrightsville wedding day was a close second.

Jamie and her friends spent most of their day relaxing and getting ready together before Jamie went off to have her first look with Edward. “It was so windy and I was terrified my veil was going to blow into the ocean but it stayed and the first look was so magical!” Although that first look was certainly a moment to remember, nothing could quite compare to the official ceremony.

“The ceremony and saying our vows was my favorite part and it was important to me to make that feel super intimate. Edward and I were looking at each other the entire time and I was so proud of myself for only getting a little choked up once!”

Cheers to these sweet newlyweds. Jamie, you were such a stunning bride and we are so honored to have been able to create your dream wedding gown for you!
